I am deeply saddened by the news of Mr. Seale.

His presence of being a loving Father to his beautiful family, a caring and passionate teacher, and a fun-filled soccer coach will never be forgotten about.

I am beyond grateful of the support, kindness, and care that he showed to me as being one of my favourite math teachers that I had in high school. As math is not one of my favourite subjects, he was always determined to help me build up my confidence and made sure that I always understood the work before leaving his class or school.

Notably, he was always the one to go above and beyond for his students when it came to their learning needs and abilities, which I thank him for. Hence, I can definitely say that I gained and learned a great bundle of skills from him and the memories that I will take on, going forward into my future career as a future educator.

Also, it was always nice seeing you on our street as you dropped off your daughters two doors down from our home, before our start day at St. Roch.

Mr. Seale had such a great impact on myself and the rest of my family. Whether or not he taught my brothers and I, he was always the one to just have a talk too because of how sincere and caring he was, in which we are all grateful that we met you.

My thoughts and prayers go out to him, his immediate, and extended family.

May God bring you and your family the much-needed peace, love, and support during this sad time.

May you rest in peace, Mr. Seale.

    🙏🏼🕊

    Sincerely,

Katrina, Christopher, Phillip, Joanne, and Phil Sequeira

Words can't express enough the pain that I felt hearing about Mr. Seale's passing on Monday, April 26. Even now, it feels so surreal to see his face after a whole year like this. Mr. Seale's family has my full, heartfelt condolences.

I remember that first day of Grade 11 Functions at Roch so clearly...you asked our class about what our goal was in your course. I told you I was aiming for 100%. And I almost got there with your guidance and support. I remember you talking about deriving the quadratic formula through completing the square with ax^2 + bx +c and how mesmerizing it was. I remember you teaching me about what a "googol" was...1 followed by 100 zeros...completely blew my mind.

Your passion for your craft was clear and inspiring. So much, in fact, that I finally made it sir. I finally have my OCT, and I'm in the DPCDSB. I was hoping to catch up with you after this madness was over and to continue learning from you.

I hope to continue the amazing work that you've done for our school and board community, and I hope to hear your wisdom again during my prayers and contemplations as I reflect on the time that we shared as teacher and student.

I know now that you're right up there watching over me and our school community for the remainder of eternity - a googol and beyond - and I can only pray that I've made you proud.

Thank you for everything Chris. Please rest well.

It has been two years since you have taught me in high school, but I will never forget the encouragement and perseverance you showed me to keep on pushing through Calculus. There were mornings you asked me to come in to further improve my knowledge and my family and I appreciated that so much because you were sacrificing your own time to better somebody else. You have touched hundreds of students in the St.Roch community and the kindness and selfless attitude you had towards your students and everyone around you will be missed. Rest in Peace Mr.Seale.

  • Hillary Mackenzie

Though it has been years since you taught me, in a subject I so desperately did not want to take I still remember that you tried to find ways to make it enjoyable. Despite me having a hard time to understand you encouraged me to keep trying and to not give up. Your kindness, compassion and dedication to your job are just some of the reasons that you were a beloved teacher and that you will continue to live on not only in the hearts of your family, but in the hearts of the hundreds of students who's lives that you have touched in your years of teaching. I am so sad you are gone so soon. You will be missed.

I write this with such a heavy heart. I found out about Mr. Seale's passing a few days ago, but I couldn't think of the words to write. I am sending so much love to Mr. Seale's family and friends.

Mr. Seale left such a huge impact on my life. I was a student in two of his math classes about four years ago. I just graduated university and Mr. Seale's words to me one day in grade 12 stuck with me throughout my degree. I can be very hard on myself, but Mr. Seale believed in me. He saw me and comforted me when no one else noticed I was struggling. I will never, ever forget that. It was so evident that he cared so much about his students. Whenever discussions about favourite/best teachers comes up anywhere, my mind goes straight to Mr. Seale.

Rest easy Mr. Seale, thank you for the light you brought into my life. I'll see you again.

  • Anjuli Perera

Mr. Seale, thank you for your kindness. You taught me data in grade 12 and I will always remember your patience whenever I had a question or required any sort of clarification. You would go to the whiteboard and go through the question with me until I understood, you were always so willing to help. Your tests were so memorable because you gave us small slips of paper with all the questions and I remember having to write small to fit all my answers. I always thought you were saving the trees! Whenever I came back to visit St. Roch, you would always come say hi with a smile and ask me how I am doing. I will always remember that. I am so thankful I got to meet you and have you as my teacher. Rest In Peace Mr. Seale.

  • Greta Chase

I will always remember the many conversations we had at the photocopy machine at Pearson High School. He was always so engaging. He also had a great rapport with his students. He was a great educator. RIP Chris.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for teaching me math in high school. You always started class with a smile and brought positivity in our school community. You were a soft-spoken man but everyone knew the kind soul and impact you had just by reading through everyone's heartfelt memories. You will be dearly missed by everyone whose lives you've touched. Rest in peace.

My condolences to the Seale family. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time.

  • Samantha Felix

Mr. Seale was one of the kindest teachers I ever had the pleasure of learning from. He was incredibly intelligent and an extremely effective communicator. He liked to keep his lessons short and to the point, always allowing ample time for his students to get started on their homework and ask for help if needed - and he was always eager to offer that help if you did need it. He was consistently patient and gentle and would always give my grade an extra boost that I didn’t deserve. He wanted his students to succeed and would do whatever necessary to get them there. I’m so deeply saddened to hear of his passing and want to express my sincerest condolences to his family and friends. I hope the world is kinder wherever he is now. May we meet agai

  • Michelle DeSouza

Sir, I am so thankful for the opportunity to have known you. You were such a kind teacher and dedicated soccer coach. Always providing encouragement and support to everyone on the team. You were so understanding with me when I was juggling being on the soccer team with school and my other extra curricular activities. You always asked me how I was doing & showed interest in my dance-related endeavours. I had the pleasure of meeting your daughters when you occasionally brought them to games - my heart goes out to them, your wife and family. Rest In Peace Mr. Seale, you will always be fondly remembered.

  • Matthew Mangabang

Mr. Seale was the best math teacher I ever had, very patient and intelligent. He made math to be a fun and easy subject and I’ve learned so much from him. I had so many memories with him but the best memory I had is him being like a mentor to me. We would spent time talking about anything such as interesting math stuff, sports, also he even taught me cool chess tips and tricks. I could truly see that he wants me to succeed in life and will do everything to get me successful. Mr. Seale may have gone too soon but surely will never be forgotten. I am truly blessed to know Mr. Seale – you will be missed dearly. May you rest in eternal peace and fly high.

  • Shannon Remedios

Mr. Seale is one of the kindest teachers I have ever met. He was always so patient with his students. He would always go out of his way to give us the extra help we needed. Especially in grade 12 when we all needed higher grades, he didn't hesitate to help out his students because he believed in us.

When I visited Roch before the pandemic hit, he immediately welcomed me and started a conversation. I will never forget his smile and kindness. He truly will never be forgotten.

May his soul Rest In Peace. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.

  • Angelica Samuel

I had the pleasure of being one of your students throughout high school.

You and I sometimes never saw eye to eye, and I must admit you weren’t my favourite teacher and I probably wasn’t your favourite strident.. (obviously not because you failed me by 1% in math lol)

However, all that aside you were extremely knowledgeable and very kind and always so willing to help.

You were a great teacher and so many of us students loved you.

Rest in paradise Sir! Until we all meet again.

    GO RAVENS GO.

  • Monika Girn

I met Mr. Seale one fateful morning in my grade 9 year. I had been having trouble opening my lock and he approached me offering his support. After successfully opening my lock, he asked my name and we began to talk. We haven’t stopped since. Every morning, I’d get my steps in by walking around the hallway, and like clockwork Mr. Seale and I’s path would always cross at the same junction. I knew Mr. Seale as a person who was incredibly kind, encouraging and supportive to not only myself but all of the students at St. Roch. He always encouraged me to not let others opinions of my visual impairment come in the way of my aspirations. For that I am eternally grateful. I am Incredibly saddened to hear of his passing. I can only extend my deepest condolences to his family and friends. Mr. Seale will never be forgotten, his spirit will always accompany me on every lap I walk no matter its location. Rest In Peace Sir. 🕊❤️

  • Ameena Zahid

It’s surreal that you’re gone, I remember being the new kid and being teased but you’d give me a class to look forward to. You’d help me after class because I was too embarrassed to ask in front of the rest of the students. I had a big tragedy in my personal life that I only told guidance bout but you were one of my outlets. You helped me every day. You gave me confidence to graduate on time and apply for my dream school and I got in because of you! You inspired me and still continue to inspire me everyday. To be kinder, softer, sweeter, more understanding and to be a little more caring. If it wasn’t for you mr.seale I wouldn’t be much. I wish I could let you know all this but I’m sure you’re still listening. I hope you’ve found your peace and you can finally rest in paradise x thank you for everything.

  • Abiya Almas

I’m so heartbroken to hear about Mr. Seale. I wish nothing but love and peace for his family. Mr. Seale was an amazing teacher and was so passionate about teaching. He was very kind and patient with me. He would always take the time to make sure I understood the content being taught.

  • Maya Homevoh

My condolences to the family, friends, and all those that knew him. He was a great teacher and an even greater person. I remember the countless times he showed his students compassion and kindness. His classroom was always a safe space for so many students including myself. He inspired me to love math, to believe I could be successful in stem. I wouldn't be where I am today without him. Knowing you was a great gift, rest in peace, Mr Seale.

  •  Jasmin Miranda Cascante

i am so sad to hear the news of Mr. Seale’s passing.

  • Matthew Pereira

You were a great teacher and an even better person. I remember struggling in your calculus class and asking you so many questions (which many teachers would find annoying) but you were always so patient with me and offered to help me during your lunch breaks, something that i will always cherish. You always had a smile on your face and took the time to make sure every student was doing good. It is because of you I was able to excel in math and in my studies. Thank you for everything sir, I hope you are finally at peace ❤️

  • Isaiah Wilson

Mr. Seale was the best math teacher I ever had all throughout my school journey. Also I was good at math, any time I needed a little extra help or clarification, he was always ready to offer his time. We also used to chat about baseball and how the blue jays were doing. He never made math feel like a chore. He was really passionate about the subject and wanted everyone to succeed. Prayers to his family during these tough times. He will be missed by every student he influenced. Rest In Peace Mr. Seale.

  •  Erica Brunet

Mr. Seale, you were genuine, kind, and had so much patience to offer ... especially on the soccer field. You impacted so many lives; we will miss you greatly. May you Rest In Peace 🕊

  • Ethan Frederick

Mr. Seale, you were always so kind, patient, and one of the most soft-hearted individuals I have met. And on top of that, one of the most helpful...to the point of helping me as a post secondary student in math! It was truly a pleasure having the opportunity to be one of your students, and to have witness the positive impact you had on other students; whether that be in soccer, chess, math class or figuring out some sort of proof after class. I am happy to have been a small part of your life. 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 says, “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” I pray that this will bring comfort and peace to the friends, and family who had the pleasure of having Mr. Christopher Seale apart of their lives. God Bless.

  • Ivie Egua

Rest In Peace Mr seale one best teacher I ever got to know. I can’t believe you are gone 🙏🏾🙏🏾🕊🕊💕💕

  •  Jordan Faria

    Mr. Seale,

Thank you for all you done for me as a teacher and mentor. Helping me all the time with math as I would be missing school constantly for soccer. Never gave up on me and continued to help me while I was in different math classes with different teachers. I remember you hosted futsal league after hours and would sometimes play with us. Never forget the moments I had with yo. God bless you and hope you found your peace. Rest easy GOAT.

  • Andrei Gellido

I remember dreading having to take advanced functions in grade 12, but you changed that for me Mr. Seale. I remember how patient you were in trying to explain difficult math concepts and I always knew I could ask you for help whenever I needed. Ended up being one of my best grades in my senior year. Will never forget your chess club and your VR headset moments in class as well. My condolences, and thank you again sir.

  • Ashley Thompson

Mr. Seale was my math teacher in grade 11 from 2016-2017 and was incredibly helpful... He was the one math teacher I had who actually educated students about car payments, taxes, and real life situations. I remember one day in class, I was feeling overwhelmed and asked to leave for a walk to cool down. I was nervous to ask because often teachers would think you are looking for a way to go talk to friends in the halls, but he understood my distress and allowed me to walk without any questions. He allowed another classmate to walk with me and once I returned, he asked me if I was okay and said I could come talk to him at any time. He said if I ever needed to have a break during class, it is okay with him. After that day, he implemented a 10-15 minute break for students during class, which I found very kind since I knew other students would need that break as well. This moment was very meaningful to me and I am sure others have been graced by his empathy as well. His kindness on that day inspires me for my own teaching as well. May he rest peacefully.

  • Desiree Furtado

The impact you've made to myself and other students is monumental. I distinctly remember one time, I said the wrong answer out loud in class, and you turned it around as a fun joke for the class to laugh "with" me instead - a memory I still cherish over a decade later.

We will always remember you as the sweetest math teacher who never let anyone feel out of place.

    You will be greatly missed

  • Nadia Zarei

My thoughts and prayers go out to Mr. Seales family during this incredibly difficult time. Sending love 💕

  • Kristen Sornabala

Mr. Seale I will always remember you to be one of the kindest teachers I had during my time in high school. Though I was never the greatest at math you consistently encouraged me and let my mom know in parent/teacher interviews that I was a joy to have in class, which meant a lot to her and myself. My heart and prayers go out to the friends and family of Mr. Seale. May he rest in peace

  • Catalina Castillo

He was thoughtful, genuine, and impactful. Mr. Seale was my 9th grade math teacher. I remember one time he took our class out to play soccer and challenged us to score a goal on him. He said if we were successful, he would cancel our tests. In the end, we never scored because he was just too good. I also distinctly remember playing the Enigma board game with him and he taught me high level statistics through that. These are small things that teachers are never asked to do but he goes above and beyond to connect with others. He will be remembered greatly.

  • Tajpreet Gill

Mr Seale, your the reason I got into uni. I was struggling with Calculus and needed an 80 in the course to keep my admission. You helped me out despite me not coming to class, I remember when I’d ask what’s on the test you’d laugh and say maybe if you came to class you’d know ! You will be missed and thank you for everything. You won’t be forgotten. Rest In Peace Sir🕊

  • Chelsey Watson

I remember Mr. Seale as a math teacher and a soccer coach. He was a very nice and kind hearted man. I remember him passing me in grade 12 so I would graduate which I will never forget. May he rest in peace. 🌹 Condolences to his family and loved ones.

  • Samuel Dey

I’m lost for words. Nonetheless, the impact that this man has had on me will forever be held in my heart. RIP to a WONDERFUL man. My condolences to all family and friends of Mr. Seale 🙏🏿🕊

  • Anikeith Bankar

I will always remember the convos about sports we had, the discussions on math questions and on life in general. Most of all I’ll remember the impact you had on my life and I’ll always be grateful for it. A little over 4 years ago I stepped into your gr12 math class on exam review day and we started to discuss the questions you marked wrong, we just kept on discussing and discussing and eventually you told me I won and I deserve the 0.5 points I lost on a question, I gave you a big hug as I teared up about my final grade in that course. I would come visit you the semester after and always discuss how good/bad the new class is doing, you always just made me laugh. I will always remember you Sir. You’re a big part of the man I have become today. Thank you Sir.

  • Andrew Abdulla

Rest In Peace Mr Seale. You were my math teacher, an amazing and selfless math teacher, you had a great heart for everyone and a passion for teaching, you would always go out of your way to give us extra help whether that would be during class or even after class, you’d take extra time out of your day to give us extra help so that we get the credit we deserve.

Mr Seale, you were an amazing math teacher, you will be missed, you are in a batter place now, may your Rest In Peace

  • Joshua Tufino

Thank you for everything Mr Seale. You helped me out in math more than you ever had to and helped my transition into going to the school in the states. Thank you for everything much love from Joshua Tufino.
